Your role

Do you have a passion for solving problems and a desire to do impactful work? Are you excited by supporting a business on a global level? We are looking for someone like this to:

  • work as a partner with the global trading and sales desk on various topics (new product initiatives, front-to-back controls, ad-hoc surveys, trade data analysis)
  • support business enablement and develop your knowledge of the Rates & Credit businesses by collaborating with the desk and front-to-back functions (IT, Finance, Compliance, Operations etc.)
  • work with senior management across the business to analyze, develop, and implement strategic solutions to improve and enhance business models.
  • be assigned to ad-hoc projects to increase efficiency for regular analysis, reporting processes and controls
  • collaborating with global Business Managers (Zurich, London, New York, Sydney) to run key IB R&C controls and help on various day-to-day tasks
  • contribute and produce from Day 1!

Your team

You will join the Chief Operating Office team for IB Global Markets - Rates & Credit in Opfikon, near Zürich. You are guaranteed to have an exciting and educational professional experience, which will help shape your future through tackling new challenges every day. This role is a unique opportunity to explore our businesses, meaningfully contribute, and lead change.

Your expertise

  • You need to have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.
  • At least 4 semesters completed at a University of Applied Sciences, preferably with a focus in one or several areas on Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration
  • Know-how gained from experience (or internship) in Banking or similar
  • An interest in financial markets, numbers, models and products
  • An autonomous, diligent and detail-oriented work style
  • Good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent English (written and oral)
  • A good command of Microsoft Excel (VBA as an asset), Word and PowerPoint
  • Team player as well as a self-starter

  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen and diligently stick with a task
  • be collaborative with colleagues and engage in opportunities
  • come up with ideas
