  • Intellectual property and intangible asset valuations

As a Trainee in our Valuation team, you will play an integral part in valuing our clients’ assets. These can range from individual businesses, division of companies, intellectual property (e.g. brands) and other income generating tangible and intangible assets.

The team often works on prestige assignments that make headlines in Switzerland and abroad. Additionally, Deloitte offers you a broad range of internal training programmes.

How you can make an impact

  • Supporting the team in rendering valuation opinions by applying generally accepted valuation methodologies based on supportable assumptions
  • Performing accurate and clearly presented analyses and market research
  • Understanding and discussing client acceptance and engagement risk mitigation processes
  • Contributing to Valuation and broader Financial Advisory business development initiatives

Who we are looking for

  • You are pursuing or have recently completed a graduate degree from a university or technical college (master’s in finance, accounting and / or controlling or mathematics preferred or another field with additional financial training (e.g. CFA)
  • You have achieved above-average grades and/or have relevant additional activities on your CV;
  • You have strong motivation and curiosity in the area of Valuation and/or Corporate Finance. Previous experience from other advisory / consulting firms or corporate environments is considered a plus
  • You have strong Excel skills - other relevant technical analytical skills could also be an advantage (e.g. visualization platforms, VBA, Access, SQL etc.)
  • You communicate confidently in English and preferably German, as well as strong writing skills.
  • You enjoy working in a team, where different ideas and perspectives are included in the work;
  • You are available for about 6 months (at least 4 days a week).

Your team

Become part of a diverse, multinational and highly motivated team of 40+. We will help you grow both personally and professionally: through our trainings, mentoring programmes and on-the-job learning, but also by connecting with your colleagues across all business lines.
