Your role

Are you fluent in numbers? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • turn data into an asset across the organization
  • collaborate across business and IT units, providing thought leadership and driving day-to-day implementation of the analytics strategy
  • advise on potential analytical approaches to business needs, including associated costs and trade-offs, and recommendations
  • design, coordinate, and implement analytical business and technology solutions to support innovation initiatives
  • stay on top of current business and industry trends

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 24 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

You’ll be working in close association the Advanced Analytics (Big Data Analytics) team in Zurich. We offer you a highly motivated and experienced team with in-depth knowledge about Advanced Analytics, building models and algorithms. Our goal is to enable the UBS Business’ for a digital and analytical future!
The financial markets are complex, varied and ever changing - and technology is an integral part of the way they work. For you, working in our technology function means challenge, innovation, variety and a chance to work with the latest developments in IT as they happen. Your work will be vital to the smooth running of UBS’s technology, businesses and will meet the needs of our clients, employees and shareholders.

Your experience and skills

You need have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree. In particular, you have:

  • good communication skills, storytelling, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
  • a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
  • know-how gained from experience (or internship) in data analysis or similar
  • an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • excellent English skills (oral & written) and preferably knowledge of German

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas
