Your role
Are you interested in working on the Trading Floor? Do you want to learn more about Fixed Income? We’re looking for someone like that to:
- Assist the local Sales Team in providing advice and selling Fixed Income and Rates products including structured products to Banks and institutional clients (corporates, pension funds etc)
- Have close cooperation with Syndicate (new issues) and secondary trading in Switzerland and London in executing clients’ orders and in getting advice and providing feedback
- Process client trades and order related enquiries
- Assist in research activity and roadshows, assist in one-off project work and prepare sales documents and statistics
- Support the daily control framework

Your team
You’ll be working in the Fixed Income Sales Team in Opfikon. We are responsible for a broad suite of products, ranging from cash bonds, new issues and structured solutions. Depending on the suitability, you will be given much responsibility within a short time which requires you to work independently and tackle problems proactively.
Your experience and skills
You need to have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree and have not yet completed your master’s degree. In particular, you have:
- German skills would be an advantage
- MS Office Applications, preferably Market Data Services such as Bloomberg
- Service minded and responsive personality
- Quick on the uptake and in applying new knowledge and in processing relevant market news
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Flair for Sales with self-confidence and perseverance
- Flexibility to extend internship as an asset
Start date: October 2018 (by arrangement)
Duration: 6 months minimum
