Your role

Do financial markets and economics fascinate you? Do you have an analytical and problem-solving mindset? We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • develop and communicate UBS’ views on the Swiss economy
  • explore new tools in forecasting and data analysis
  • support the asset allocation process for client investments
  • take responsibilities for projects within the CIO Switzerland team

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

You’ll be working in a small team in the Chief Investment Office. We analyze various aspects of the Swiss economy ranging from the monetary policy of the Swiss National Bank to the outlook for the retirement system. Our outlook for Swiss assets supports the GWM asset allocation process. We are also strongly involved into communicating the investment views of UBS.

Your expertise

You need have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • preferably a master’s degree in economics or econometrics
  • a strong interest into the Swiss economy and Swiss economy policy
  • a strong interest into economic modelling, including new approaches as e.g. machine learning
  • experience with programming language and statistical modeling software know-how (R, Python, Eviews)
  • a structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • excellent communication and writing skills
  • fluency in either German or French and fluency in English. Understanding German is required

  • challenge your teammates
