The Basel Branch Roche Diagnostics International, Diabetes Care employs over 100 people and is the head quarter of the business unit Diabetes Care. As a world leading supplier of system solutions for patients with Diabetes, the products provide health information to medical decision makers pivotal for early identification, diagnosis & monitoring. The Intercompany Supply Chain acts as central interface between global sales organizations and suppliers and ensures a smooth process in terms of order and invoice flow.

Job Facts:

Regulatory Labeling (product information) department, within Regulatory Affairs Function at Roche, leads and supports product teams on the overall development, optimization and implementation of regulatory labeling strategies and activities for the entire product life-cycle. This department is responsible for developing and maintaining company Core Data Sheet (CDS) and local product information in EU and US markets for medicinal products from Roche, and for guiding and supporting the implementation of CDS at country level. CDS is the reference prescribing information for all local product information for Roche products. As an intern in our department, you will be offered an excellent opportunity to combine your scientific knowledge and leadership & communication skills to get hands-on work experience in regulatory labeling.

During the internship you will:

  • Support the planning and management of CDS and product information in EU and US markets.
  • Actively assist in the preparation of these product information documents under the mentorship of an experienced member of our staff.
  • Support the implementation of CDS into local country product information.
  • Interact with the global product teams and country affiliates, or participate team meetings, to enable your work.

You will learn during this internship:

  • About the many aspects of how product information is developed and maintained throughout product development and maintenance life-cycle.
  • About the many aspects of drug development.
  • About the Regulatory processes that must be fulfilled to bring medicines to patients.
  • About Regulatory Health Authorities worldwide and how Roche interacts with them.
  • About the Roche culture and values.

Who you are

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. You consider a job title is not the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.
You are currently enrolled at university in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.

Moreover you are/have:

  • Passion for learning about drug development and drug regulatory affairs.
  • Able to independently perform tasks assigned and research unfamiliar topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
  • Minimum of a BSc in relevant science field, higher degree preferred.

Please note that non-EU/EFTA nationals have to successfully apply for a Swiss work permit themselves or provide us a certificate of mandatory internship form their university.
