Your role

Are you willing to learn a captivating area of financial markets, while helping clients access innovative products and solutions? Do you have the right cocktail of quantitative and people skills it takes to be a successful Derivatives Salesperson?
We’re looking for someone like that to:

• develop a deep understanding of cross-asset derivatives, structured products, solutions & quantitative strategies
• partner up with senior sales, structuring, trading & quants in order to derive the right products and solutions for our clients
• help pitch the solutions to our clients and execute flow and solutions trades
• build & maintain strong relationships with our key clients
• know what derivatives products UBS can offer develop a good sense of where our competition is and how to win additional market shares

Your team

You will be working in the Structured & Solutions Global Market Sales team in Switzerland from our Investment Bank trading floor in Opfikon. The team is responsible for our derivatives distribution efforts in Switzerland; we cover our clients holistically, across our product suite, which encompasses vanilla to exotic derivatives, structured products and more complex solutions such as quantitative investment strategies and financing. You will help and drive client dialogue, price and execute trades and be responsible for the overall client relationships with selected clients.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

• a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
• a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems as well as some coding skills (e.g., VBA)
• sharp analytical and problem solving skills
• excellent interpersonal skills (and this is noticeable even when under pressure)
• proven numerical and quantitative skills for understanding and applying quantitative models
• fluency in English, German (preferred) and/or French
