Your role

Are you interested in financial markets and products? Are you motivated to provide high quality service?
We are looking for someone like that to:

  • draft and execute standard master agreements and other trading documentation for clients while obtaining the best possible protection for our firm in terms of legal and counterparty risk
  • manage process of the agreement throughout their lifecycle
  • liaise with various internal functions (legal, credit officers etc.) during the negotiations of agreements
  • manage the master agreements in the relevant systems
  • gather information from various areas of the bank
  • provide a timely service to external and internal business partners

Your team

You will be working in the Client Documentation team that is part of the Legal Department. We are in charge of negotiating agreements to allow trading of a broad range of products traded by the Investment Bank. During the internship we will provide a thorough introduction into the various agreements covering Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC Derivatives, Securities Lending, Repurchase and Precious Metal transactions.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree and have not yet completed your master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
  • a good command of Microsoft Office and are a fast learner when it comes to new IT products
  • excellent German and English (written and oral)

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.

Start Date: as soon as possible, December 2018
Duration: 6 months
