Your role

Are you ready to go the extra mile? Do you know your way around numbers?
We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • Support the prototyping of new portfolio analytics tools with the business analysis required to allow the project to run smoothly
  • Investigate and communicate with various IT departments and business units within UBS WM and UBS IB to find out in which system relevant data is located and how it can be retrieved
  • Communicate with legal and compliance to find out how data can be used and presented in a complaint way
  • Investigate IT and client data security
  • Build new software components. Investigate and correct problems in existing software
  • Work together with both the application users (Portfolio Investment Specialists) and technical product specialists in the portfolio advisory area

Your team

You’ll be working in the Investment Platforms and Solutions team in Wealth Management (IPS Portfolio Advisory). We support the global Capital Markets and Advisory Solutions teams in delivering their day to day business, dealing with risk, regulation, reporting and strategy. We deal with all levels of the organization across all asset classes and advisory services. UBS Wealth Management

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree and have not yet completed your master’s degree.

In particular, you have:

  • Good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • Good understanding of IT systems and solutions
  • Solid programming and software development skills
  • A gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
  • An interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • A strong interest in financial markets (knowledge of risk modelling a plus)
  • A structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • The ability to stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
  • Programming skills in .NET/C# would be a strong plus

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can:

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas
