Your role

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • passionate about communication, networking and new media
  • has initiative, attention to detail, reliability and is a strong team-player
  • is keen to learn more about the financial markets, macro-economics and gain experience in an investment office

About the department:

The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is an investment department that creates research and content on topics such as financial markets, economics, sustainability, and thematic trends such as disruptive technology. It also operates networks, such as the Industry leader Network and forums such as the UBS Investor Forum.

Your internship will be split between these two exciting projects which serve as key differentiators for UBS:

Some of your tasks will be:

  • support managing a monthly roundtable event with internal & external participation
  • liaising with external senior Investment professionals and internal senior stakeholders
  • preparing briefing material for roundtables and managing post event communication
  • designing multi-day networking events for client entrepreneurs
  • participating in client conversations and writing articles based on primary and secondary research
  • research new content themes that are relevant to entrepreneurs
  • supporting the global internal marketing & communications strategy across

Your team

You will be working in an ambitious and dynamic, young team who conceives and incubates new initiatives with the goal of connecting clients to new ideas and opportunities. The team is diverse, high performing, and reacts positively to new ideas. It fosters an ethic of active challenge to ensure it continuously evolves and innovates, extracting maximum value from its work.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

  • you need to have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months
  • excellent communication & interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with external partners and senior management
  • a structured and highly organized work style, confident in working autonomously and taking your own initiatives
  • a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality
  • a good command of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • fluency in English written and verbal
  • a big plus would be fluency in German, written and verbal
