Your role
Interested in working in finance, specifically in working with object oriented programming languages such as Java, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology.
You’ll get to:
- to work on web applications in the Due Diligence space, built with Java/Spring/Oracle
- learn about how our Gitlab pipelines work and identify ways to improve them
- learn about cloud based applications and how they differ from traditional applications
- collaborate with teams across multiple locations, through pair programming and group projects, learning from senior engineers how to build robust, scalable products
- work closely with cross-functional team members to improve our digital products
Your team
You’ll be working in alongside the UBS Client Reviews team in Zurich within Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance Technology. Our team develops, enhances and supports web applications in the Financial Crime Prevention space, with thousands of client advisors and Compliance staff using our systems daily.
Your expertise
We’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree), preferably in a MINT topic

has gained interest in object oriented programming as well as DevOps practices through courses, projects or work experience
has programming skills (i.e., Java, Scala, SQL, Typescript/JavaScript, any DevOps/Cloud is a plus)has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative - is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
- is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

Your program
This paid internship will last 6-months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
