Graduate GTP/Full-Time Analyst

Your role

Are you passionate about entering new technology to build robust Big Data applications? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate?
We’re looking for someone like that to:

  • support the business with effort estimations and feasibility studies
  • join a successful feature team built on mutual respect
  • perform code reviews and share results with colleagues
  • make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 24 months. You’ll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you’ll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you’ll get to know us.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Advanced Analytics (Big Data Analytics) team in Zurich. We offer you a highly motivated and experienced team with in-depth knowledge about Big Data. Our goal is to enable the UBS Business’ for a digital and analytical future!
The financial markets are complex, varied and ever changing - and technology is an integral part of the way they work. For you, working in our technology function means challenge, innovation, variety and a chance to work with the latest developments in IT as they happen.

Your experience and skills

You need have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree.
In particular, you have:

  • sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • experience with high-level programming language and statistical modeling software know-how (like Python, R, SPSS, Knime, Weka, SAS, Matlab, Stata) is a plus
  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • understanding of performance tuning for large data sets is a plus
  • an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • excellent English and German skills (oral & written)

  • analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
  • plan, organize and communicate well
  • make things happen
  • stick with a task
  • work in a team
  • come up with ideas
