For our Trauma / CMF R&D department in our EMEA headquarters (Zuchwil) we are looking for a highly committed:
R&D Internship for Engineering Students (6-12 months)
As an intern you will participate in the daily business of the product development team. In this function you will gain a deep insight into the medical device industry and requirements relating to new product development and product maintenance.
As part of the R&D team, you will become familiar with the tasks of a product development engineer and you will work in collaboration with an interdisciplinary project team. Depending on the status of the project, this may involve working in phases with different focus - i.e. concept, design, implementation, and up to market release and technical lifecycle support. In your internship, you will not only receive a very broad overview of the exciting areas touched with the development of products in medical devices, but you will also be able to make a direct contribution to the welfare of patients around the world.
You are a student (FH, ETH, min. 1 years of study) in the field of mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or similar, and you are interested in the areas of product development and medical devices. During your studies, you have developed skills in mechanics, dimensioning, computing and analyzing of products, and are now looking at applying in practice your knowledge. You are well versed in German (written and oral) and English, and you have experience with Matlab and/or Phyton languages. FEA (Ansys) and CAD skills (ProE / Creo) are preferred.
