As an Intern in the Downstream processing group you will become part of a young and highly motivated team of 6 people devoted to the purification and biochemical characterization of antibodies and other recombinant proteins. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest state of the art laboratory and analytical equipment as well as with new technologies.
In this position, you will
- Work on purifications of antibodies and recombinant proteins with different techniques for in vitro and in vivo use
- Perform quality control by biochemical analyses of the produced proteins
- Be involved in the continuous improvement of the processes
Who you are
You are preferably a bachelor’s (min. 2 years) or master’s student in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or related fields with some lab experience.
Moreover, you are
- Experienced in working in a sterile environment
- Already experienced through another internship
- Interested in protein purification
- An enthusiastic and scientifically interested person who enjoys teamwork and has a strong willingness to learn new techniques.
- An organizational talent and pro-active in knowledge sharing

We are offering an internship position, preferably starting August for 6 months with the possibility to extend. Please indicate your preferred start date and the desired duration of the internship on your motivation letter. Applications need to include a CV and a motivation letter both merged in one document.
Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
