Hitachi ABB Powergrids - Semiconductors supplies high power semiconductor modules for converter and motor drives for the traction and the energy industry. In our highly modern cleanroom factory, the semiconductors chips like IGBTs (Insulated Gate Barrier Transistor) and Diodes are assembled into high reliability modules. With the aim to increase the degree of automation in the factory, several Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) tools have been introduced to the line. These tools automatically control the wirebonding process ensuring product quality and reliability. The duration of the internship is 6 months.

Your responsibilities

  • Qualification of our product portfolio on the AOI Equipment according to our business processes
  • Creation, validation, and qualification of new vision recipes. Optimization of existing inspection programs
  • Determination of the Process Capability and validation of control limits using statistical analysis. Documentation of process specifications
  • Documentation of work according to our business processes
  • Training and support of the production line on the equipment. Work instruction writing

Your background

  • Student or Graduate in an engineering field: Minimum bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
  • Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software is a plus
  • Autonomous and proactive
  • Good communication skills and team player
  • Motivation to work in a productive and automated environment
  • German (min. A2) and English (min. B2), spoken and written
