• Location: You will initially be based at our site in Onnens (VD) before relocating to our brand-new warehouse in Niederwangen (BE) next spring.
• Context: Drive the performance and autonomy of our logistic partner to guarantee exceptional service and sustainable growth for our customers.
• Language: Fluent English (C1) is mandatory.

Context & Purpose

As part of the new global logistics Master Plan, Decathlon Switzerland is shifting its model toward increased agility. This role is at the heart of a major transformation: transitioning from a traditional storage model to a Cross-Docking system and a Digital Hub based in Bern, aiming to optimise flows and drastically reduce operational and inventory costs.

Your Responsibilities:

• You monitor the profitability, stock levels and sustainability within your perimeter, adapting and taking proactive actions as necessary.
• You ensure that the logistics partner operates autonomously, meets our customers’ expectations and quality standards, and strictly complies with all warehouse safety rules.
• You continuously improve operational tools and safety programs while integrating eco-responsibility across all aspects of operations.
• You act as the key communication link between your perimeter and the broader ecosystem, establishing regular dialogue with Supply, Finance, Customers, HR, IT, and Operational Excellence teams.
• You regularly assess the partner’s operational performance, master the contract to ensure compliance and provide them with the necessary resources to meet their commitments.
• You guide the partner in making sound decisions (strategic alignment, planning, prioritisation), ensure the training and readiness of their team and implement functional management routines to foster an efficiency mindset.

Profil

Your Profile:

• Ideally, you have experience in external provider management, specifically regarding 3PL warehouse safety and performance management.
• You bring a strong background in operational excellence and continuous improvement, alongside solid legal awareness.
• You stand out through your strong strategic sense, confident decision-making abilities and excellent organisational skills.
• You are comfortable with data analytics and possess strong English language skills for professional communication.
• You are an adaptable, emotionally intelligent team player who highly values collaboration, cooperation and continuous learning.
