Internship in Thyristor Design
The opportunity
Join our Bipolar Semiconductor R&D team at the factory in Lenzburg, CH. You’ll contribute to a project focused on semiconductor technology, a key technology for sustainable energy transmission. In this internship, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, gaining hands-on experience in semiconductor design and processing. We offer a supportive environment where you can grow, learn, and make a real impact. The duration of the internship is 1 month.
How you’ll make an impact
- Assist in researching and developing semiconductor technology on the design and manufacturing level
- Assist in developing new thyristor structures
- Documenting and communicating the solutions developed to ensure knowledge transfer within the research team and relevant business areas
Your background
- Currently pursuing a PhD. degree in electrical engineering, preferably in electronics / microelectronics, and semiconductor physics (official enrolment is essential)
- Understanding fundamental concepts in thyristor design
- Familiarity with device simulation of complex thyristor structures
- Programing skills for data analysis and mask drawing
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Good communication and cooperation skills, creativity and the ability to work independently
