Our product group Traction has a leading position in the development, production and service of traction converters and solutions for new rail vehicles including retrofit projects. Our portfolio includes traction and onboard converters that range from just a few kW to several MW. Our products can be found in light rail vehicles, regional trains, locomotives and other rail applications all over the world. With our highly available and energy efficient traction technologies, we provide solutions for a sustainable mobility. We are looking to attract an experienced individual who is capable of applying strong negotiation skills in area of Supply Chain Management on a day-to-day basis and inspiring others to embrace the culture of excellence. You will be operating in a complex corporate environment with numerous interfaces and stakeholders at various levels and will implement ABB overall strategy as well as Division and BU SCM strategy, processes and initiatives related to the Category Management requirements. Tasks:
- Management of supplier base for the following categories: Heatsinks, laminated busbars, machined & turned parts and traction battery module (battery cells, BMS, cooling system)
- Set up & implement category strategy in accordance with local business needs and global category strategy
- Supplier Negotiations (Pricing & Supply Agreements)
- Drive cost-cut projects
- Ensure lowest TCO and material availability (OTD & Quality)
- Support operational procurement with material escalations
- First point of contact for the business
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or B. Sc. or M. Sc. in business administration combined with on-the-job technical experience (understanding of mechanical essentials)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management
- A good knowledge of category / business relevant supply markets
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Multicultural approach and sensitivity
- A dynamic, broad-minded, and result-oriented personalitywith strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German
