Internship at CoRE (Center of R&D Finance Excellence) Roche Pharma Basel
R&D Finance seeks to maximize portfolio value seamlessly from research to registration. CoRE is a cross R&D Finance team to deliver efficient harmonized processes and business insights that heighten finance impact on business decision making. CoRE is the “one stop shop” providing R&D financial information, with a high-level of expertise, innovative insights and an entrepreneurial mindset, enabling agility and flexibility for stakeholders. CoRE will be the talent engine of R&D Finance through capability building and flexible ways of working.
This internship program integrates seamlessly into European-based University degree programs and therefore we offer the most talented students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with us. During your internship period you will be a full member of CoRE, a self-organized and non-hierarchical finance unit that supports all Roche Pharma R&D Finance Business Partnering organizations. Your main accountabilities will be:
Ensuring business continuity and critical deliverables for the R&D units are met
Enabling R&D, both Finance & Business, to focus on their key activities while identifying opportunities to provide the best experience to them
Leveraging existing technological advances and developing new ones to be integrated within the broader Finance organizations
Scaling expertise for future efforts and constantly streamlining and/or upgrading processes
Constant strive for simplification and elimination of waste
Who you are:
You are an enrolled Bachelor or Master student within business or economics science, finance or a related
field. You are motivated to increase and share your theoretical and practical knowledge. You are an
enthusiast of new technologies and you easily show engagement with people.
You bring the following mindset and skills with you:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as a vivid interest in Finance
Excellent organizational skills and a flexible approach to coordinate demanding workloads
Ability to navigate through a complex, broad and diverse organization
Idea generation and ability to see ideas through to action
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity that is inspirational to others
Fluency in written and spoken English
