Who we are – what we do
Interdisciplinary, brilliantly networked. Swiss Engineering is the leading interdisciplinary platform for engineers and architects in Switzerland. Since the professional association was founded in 1905, its nearly 11,000 members in more than 50 specialist regional organisational units have shared a wealth of experience and knowledge. Swiss Engineering represents the professional interests of its members, promotes education and training, and is committed to issues relevant to our society. We bring this commitment to bear in politics and strengthen Switzerland as a business location.
Interdisciplinary. Ingeniously networked
Swiss Engineering is supported by a strong network of national and international partners. Through Engineers Europe (formerly FEANI, European Federation of National Engineering Associations) and the WFEO (World Federation of Engineering Organisations), we are connected to the whole world and can thus represent the interests of our members internationally. We also maintain partnerships with sister organisations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of German Engineers (VDI). Within these networks, we are committed to ensuring that Swiss engineering qualifications are recognised internationally, thereby opening doors to international markets for our members.
