Your role
Interested in working in finance, and have a passion for technology, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Internship Program within our Compliance and Financial Crime Prevention Data Engineering team.
You’ll get to:
- design and build an agentic testing assistant that understands our data models, engineering standards, technology stack, and the statistical distributions and recurring data-quality patterns observed in production data
- translate transformation descriptions and expected outputs from business analysts into reusable, privacy-safe test datasets that mirror representative production distributions, edge cases and likely data-quality issues—without copying sensitive production records
- generate unit and functional tests that validate expected transformations across representative production-like distributions and quality scenarios, and produce concise test reports for review by the testing manager after developer validation
- prototype integration with GitHub Copilot using MCP tools, agent skills or other approved agentic components
Your team
You’ll be working in the Compliance and Financial Crime Prevention Data Engineering team within the Group Technology Office located in Lausanne. We design and maintain data transformation solutions that support client review processes. You’ll work with data engineers, business analysts, developers, and testing stakeholders to improve how specifications are converted into robust, traceable tests, while keeping human validation and engineering quality at the center of the solution.
Your expertise
We’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree, and graduated no longer than 12 months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
- has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
- has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
- is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
- is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
- can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
- has practical programming experience in Python, and understands software testing principles
- is comfortable working with structured data, data transformations, data-quality rules and automated unit or functional tests, and has knowledge of big-data transformation frameworks—ideally Apache Spark and PySpark
- is interested in agentic AI, GitHub Copilot, MCP-based integrations and building tools that convert business specifications into reliable test assets
Start date: 1 February 2027
Your program
This paid internship will last six months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
