Position: Customer Development Manager (CDM) (m/f/x)

In this role, reporting to the Sales Director in Geneva, you will collaborate with a diverse, multi-functional team in fast-paced global organization. With a flat structure and quick decision-making, you’ll have the autonomy to drive results, meeting with department management team and Field Account Executive (AE)/Account Manager (AM) every 4-6 weeks to ensure business priorities are aligned internally and externally.

We are looking for someone with the ability to help us build collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with others while performing a role in our Sales team. Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Learn the PGC business, customers and categories.
  • Support to Field Sales, Market Strategy & Planning, Order Management, and customers for assigned categories.
  • Bring perspective to operations teams and serve as the commercial representative.
  • Lead Shopper-Based Experience initiatives to ensure a positive First Moment of Truth (FMOT) by handling customer information requests and questionnaires, coordinating customer quality audits, preparing technical product information sheets, overseeing customer specification approvals, and keeping the PGC website and shared drives updated.
  • Have full account management responsibility for a few customers. This includes pricing recommendations and volume forecasts as well as relationship management.
  • Lead on business improvement projects aligned within categories or businesses.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Project management: setting objectives, planning, delegating, and executing tasks.
  • Commercial acumen: understanding business goals, selling, and driving results.
  • Chemical industry background preferred.
  • English fluency.
  • University Degree
  • Few years of experience is a plus, but not required.
