We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Sanctions & investigations (S&I) team in Luxembourg. This role offers hands-on experience in Sanctions (AML) and Investigations as part of suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and Suspicious Transactions Report (STR) processes.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Key Responsibilities
- Support in performing:
- sanctions related controls
- Screening controls
- Investigations related to suspicious activity report and / or transaction report

Assess client documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal AML/KYC standards
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or outdated information in client records
- Engage proactively with Relationship Managers together with senior expert in the S&I Team to obtain missing information and finalize investigations
- Maintain clear and structured documentation of findings and actions taken
- Assist with internal reporting and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
YOUR PROFILE
Key Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

Interest in Sanction, AML, KYC, and Financial Crime Compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to interact confidently and professionally with stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills
- Previous exposure to banking, compliance, or regulatory environments is an advantage
- Knowledge of European regulatory expectations in Sanctions / AML/KYC is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
