2027 Graduate Talent Program – Tech – Software Engineer – Zurich

Your role

Interested in working in finance, and have a passion for technology, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Group Technology Office Graduate Talent Program.
You’ll get to:

• Design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages.
• Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services, develop and implement technical solutions
  Make sure that the proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to move from test to production.

Your team

You’ll join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team that designs and delivers digital journeys for existing and prospective clients. We work across business and technology to make complex processes simple, secure and intuitive. As a trainee, you’ll contribute to real delivery outcomes while learning from experienced business analysts, product managers, engineers, designers and other specialists. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership, explore different topics and build a broad understanding of how digital products are shaped and delivered in a regulated environment. Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have opportunities to learn through knowledge-sharing sessions, innovation topics, professional communities and team events.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:

• is a recent graduate (graduated in the last 24 months)
• has fully completed their degree and met all graduation requirements by the program start date
• has completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• is curious and demonstrates a strong learning mindset, with the confidence to ask questions, constructively challenge assumptions, seek feedback,
• has confidence using modern digital tools; experience with GitLab, Github copilot, Java and Spring-boot. BPMN is a plus.

Your program

Our Graduate Talent Program is 18-months long and is designed to help you develop the skills you need to grow your career. To start, the program introduces you to our firm, provides professional and technical training and teaches you core skills and knowledge of commercial strategies and opportunities for UBS. And it continues from there: by learning from your colleagues, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and build your network. You’ll have the opportunity to see beyond your job by participating in one, or several, rotations. If you’re ready to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
