2027 Graduate Talent Program – AI Engineer – Zurich

Your role

Interested in working financial services, and have an interest in analytics and software engineering, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Technology Graduate Talent Program.

You’ll get to:

• participate in the design and implementation of AI components in Python
• Implement Proof of Concepts for different business challenges
• collaborate with data and software engineers to deliver cutting edge Proof of Concept applications into stable and resilient corporate software
• upskill colleagues and offer consultancy around the capabilities of AI

Your team

You would be working in the ‘Artificial Intelligence Solutions’ team, which is part of the Core Engineering, Data and AI department. We build, support, and transform shared platforms to enable users in the areas of data storage, management and operations by designing and implementing AI components across different applications.
It’s a very fast paced and exciting environment, where we interact with a variety of stakeholders, and we propose innovative solutions to business challenges.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:

• is a recent graduate (graduated in the last 24 months)
• has completed their bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a MINT topic
• has fully completed their degree and met all graduation requirements by the program start date
• has no more than two years of full-time work experience
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency

• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system- has strong Software Engineering skills, especially in Python

• has experience with Natural Language Processing (GenAI, LLMs, Word2Vec etc.), Supervised and Unsupervised Learning[MP1]
• has experience with databases and SQL
  preferably has experience with cloud technologies (Azure)

Our Graduate Talent Program is 18-months long and is designed to help you develop the skills you need to grow your career. To start, the program introduces you to our firm, provides professional and technical training and teaches you core skills and knowledge of commercial strategies and opportunities for UBS. And it continues from there: by learning from your colleagues, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and build your network. You’ll have the opportunity to see beyond your job by participating in one, or several, rotations. If you’re ready to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
