Internship Equipment commissioning (80-100%)
As proud winner of the renowned industrial competition «Factory of the Year 2018» in the category «Excellent Location Safeguarding by Digitalization», ABB Semiconductors develops and manufactures a wide variety of high-power semiconductors using future oriented technologies with high reliability. Our products are used in the segments of energy transmission and distribution, transportation, e-mobility, industry and renewable energies. The product portfolio comprises IGBTs, IGCTs, Thyristors, GTOs and Diodes in the power range of 150 up to 12000 A and 200 up to 8500 V at the highest levels of quality.
Within the scope of our automation project “Genesis” and with regards to an improved operational capacity in our cleanroom production, we are looking to expand our equipment pool.
The goal of the internship is the commissioning of a new cleaning equipment and its integration in a fully automated environment.
Your responsibilities
- Learning and understanding of the process parameters and their influence on the diverse assembly processes
- Understanding of the requirements and challenges of an automated factory
- to calculate and define throughput
- Compilation of the system specification in a specification sheet
- Technical discussion with chosen equipment manufacturers and review of the requirement specification
- Trustful teamwork within our process and equipment engineering teams
- Full documentation of the equipment commissioning
Your background
- Student or graduate in a technical field (minimum Bachelor of Chemistry, mechanical engineering, material science, physics, electronics, etc.)
- Interest in industry 4.0 and automation topics and in cleanroom environment
- Highly motivated and high achiever
- Autonomous, proactive and self-organized
- German and English spoken and written (min. level B1)
- Internship period: 4 to 6 Month
