In the R&D department for Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) we are looking for an intern in the team GIS Technology Development for at least six month. We offer you an internship in a dynamic and agile environment with ambitious goals. You will work at the intersection of technology and product development of high voltage switchgear. You will work and be integrated in a team of ten experts in the field of high voltage switchgear technologies and thus have the possibility to extend and deepen your knowledge. Our flexible work practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.
Your responsibilities
- Support development & type tests (high power, high voltage, high current, mechanical, environmental …) in GIS product developments projects
- Organization, preparation, attendance, evaluation and documentation of tests
- Use and development of tools (Excel, LabVIEW, Diadem, Python…) that support the evaluation of tests
- Participation in development projects
- Participation in addressing short-term issues in the context of day-to-day business
Your background
- University student in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or closely related fields
- Ability to work well in a team
- Creative, independent and solution-oriented approach
- Good knowledge of English; German an advantage
- Good communication skills in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Programming skills or open to acquiring them (Excel, LabVIEW, Python…)
