As the New Venture Intern, you will support the team of Venture Architects in exploring adjacent and transformational business model innovations to meet our ambitious innovation targets. You will help the team to identify new markets and opportunities supporting the UN sustainability goals.
Your tasks
- Support of our Venture Architects in identification and validation of new business opportunities including, market overview, market potential, competitor landscape, competitive business models, and best practice examples
- Evaluation of new market opportunities and enabling decision making on new topics by conducting desk research, data analysis and reporting to management
- Conduct customer and internal interviews to understand full market potential of new business opportunities
- Independently drive working packages in the area of identification and monitoring of market trends
- Participate in developing holistic new Business concepts including value proposition, target customer, revenue model and value chain together with the project teams
- Leverage customer centric design and innovation methods to identify and validate new ideas and resolve critical uncertainties in an interactive process
- Closely collaborate with Sustainability, Business Development, Digital Business, Product Management, Operations, Sales and other R&D groups
- Taking care of general organizational and administrative tasks within the New Ventures team
Your profile
- Bachelor or Master’s studies, preferably in Business Administration, Business Innovation, Strategy and International Management, Industrial Engineering, Digital transformation or any other related fields
- Strong interest in business modelling and innovation
- Knowhow of innovation methodologies such as Design Thinking or agile and/or previous work experience in innovation agencies startups or corporate innovation is a plus
- Skills for analysing and reporting
- Good social and communication skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written), plus any other European language
- Very good working experience of Microsoft Office, esp. Power Point and Excel
- Enjoying collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across the globe
- Self-driven, well organized yet curious mindset. Willingness to think beyond the status quo
- Flexibility to travel internationally
- Work permit for Switzerland and/or EU
- Work pensum: 80%- 100%
- Start date 1st June or later
