Do you have a strong interest in regulations related to international trade and similar topics?
Are you a passionate problem-solver ready to guide multinational companies through the complex landscape of global trade regulations looking for a new challenge to develop and grow you legal, tech and advisory skills?
If so, Deloitte’s Global Trade Advisory team is looking for you!
How you can make an impact
At Deloitte Global Trade Advisory, we work with dedication and passion on ensuring our clients are best equipped to meet the growing and everchanging challenges of global trade. As part of our team of trade compliance professionals, you will work on maintaining an overview of the jungle of regulations governing international trade and will break down the complex concepts of customs, export controls, sanctions, and sustainability laws into solutions that work in practice. In other words, you will be part of our mission to make the supply and value chains of our clients more resilient, compliant, and sustainable, while ensuring operational efficiency.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Understanding the legal and technical requirements of emerging trade compliance regulations and effectively translating them into business requirements: These include Free Trade Agreements, regulations surrounding customs valuation and tariff classification, as well as both Swiss and international Export Control and Sanctions schemes, and regulations on human rights, forced labour and deforestation.
- Driving and coordinating client projects related to these regulations.
- Designing and implementing the required governance, processes and systems to ensure compliance and operational continuity for our clients.
You will also conduct research on relevant legal topics, develop new service offerings in the field and be involved in marketing activities. Global Trade never rests.
Who We Are Looking For
- An academic background in Law is highly desirable. We also welcome applications from candidates with degrees in International Relations, Economics, International Trade, or similar fields who have a demonstrable focus on regulatory compliance.
- It’s a plus if you have first professional experience, ideally related to supply chain compliance or international trade.
- You have entrepreneurial spirit, openness, communication and organizational skills and the ability to transform new regulatory developments into service offerings, as well as to collaborate with other service teams.
- You possess a strong aptitude for legal and regulatory analysis, with the ability to deconstruct complex legal texts and translate them into clear, actionable business strategies.
- You are able to communicate fluently (in a professional capacity) in German and English. Proficiency in French would be an advantage
Your Team
You will be joining a diverse, welcoming and international team of trade compliance professionals, international trade lawyers and compliance officers. Each team member brings their unique strengths and character. Notably, you will have the opportunity to make a mark by pioneering innovative solutions, build your profile on legal and regulatory initiatives, and use your creativity so that your ideas make an impact.
