Internship Production Development 80 - 100% (f/m/d) Neu
The opportunity
At our BiMOS Backend plant in Lenzburg, Switzerland and Power Semiconductor factory in Prague, Czech Republic, we manufacture efficient, high-quality power semiconductors for use in motor control units, traction applications, industrial applications and inverter systems. In this way, we make a decisive contribution to making industry, public and private transportation more energy-efficient, while our technology also enables the production and transportation of renewable energy from the production site to the consumer.
A new production facility is being established in Prague for one of our original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products. This move is motivated by considerations of capacity and business continuity. As part of your Internship in Production Development, you will assist with the transfer of production capabilities from Lenzburg to Prague. You play a vital role in facilitating the introduction and ramp-up of Hitachi Energy Semiconductors products at our second manufacturing site in Prague / Czech Republic. Your responsibilities focus on ensuring operational excellence, process integrity, and effective knowledge transfer across locations.
How you’ll make an impact
- Supporting the implementation and qualification of new production tools, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards
- Assisting with equipment integration as well as the collection and analysis of production and process data
- Establishing process quality control procedures and corresponding control loops to maintain product consistency and compliance
- Organizing and supporting training of new production personnel, ensuring effective knowledge transfer from the Lenzburg site to the new factory
- Supporting product qualification by coordinating production of samples and testing activities
- Support the implementation of logistical flows for raw materials and processed parts between Lenzburg and Prague
- Ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation of processes, work instructions, supporting materials, production tools, and their configurations, to support operational excellence and future audits
Your background
- Study engineering, physics, chemistry, production technology, or related disciplines; holding a bachelor’s degree is preferred. The assignment can be part of a master’s thesis
- Show genuine interest in semiconductor backend manufacturing, including areas like innovative processes, logistics, and governance
- Show effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams, as well as an interest in international collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Exhibit attention to detail in documentation and process setup, along with organizational abilities for supporting training, planning, and knowledge transfer
- Adapt easily to changing environments, embrace new tools, and commit to a six- to nine-month assignment split between Switzerland and the Czech Republic, supporting both operational and developmental activities
- English at minimum C1 level. Mastering of German is an advantage
More about us
This internship provides hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and operational excellence in a leading power semiconductor environment. It offers the chance to develop technical and organizational skills while supporting a major industrial expansion across Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
We look forward to receiving your application, including a brief cover letter and a transcript of records, along with your CV. Non-EU/EFTA citizens, please note that an official university certificate showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies is required.
