Intern: Blockchain Technologies

Our ideal candidate is:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Math, Economics or other related areas
• A highly motivated and skilled student
• Having previous experience and interest in Blockchain, Cryptoeconomics, Smart Contracts
• Having good communications and presentation skills
• Fluent in both written and spoken English

If you are the one, we are offering the internship within our Enterprise Architecture team (IS/IT department) of Philip Morris International in Lausanne.

You’ll make the difference by working with the latest technologies to create a Proof-of-Concept implementations of Blockchain, Smart Contracts and other Cryptoeconomics concepts at PMI. Your work will be on the intersection of latest technological innovations and leading business concepts, exposing you to an agile, innovative and rewarding business environment.

Technologies, methodologies and concepts you’ll be using:

• Ethereum / Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain frameworks
• General Programming skills in one or more of these languages: Solidity, Python, etc.
• Understanding of the following technical concepts: blockchain scalability limits, different types of consensus mechanisms (PoW, PoS, etc.), sharding, “off-chain” transactions, etc.
• Understanding of business and economics concepts behind cryptoeconomics, smart contracts, etc. and how they can be applied in real business.
