We are looking for:

Intern Direct Material Procurement

The student we are looking for should have the following skills and experience:

  • Currently studying for a master’s degree in Engineering, interested in Supply Chain or Procurement
  • Excellent analytical and system skills (SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel)
  • Knowledgeable in project management
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English

If you are also keen on learning, working independently and with high exposure to the management. If you have good influencing, collaboration and entrepreneurship skills, you are the one we want for our EU DIM Procurement team, in Philip Morris International Management SA, in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Objective: In a rapidly changing market, accurate forecast are an important asset to optimize our supply base. Goal of this project is to develop a tool allowing Procurement team members to

  • Obtain volume forecast on a mid to long term horizon in a quick and intuitive manner and
  • Include a feature to run different scenarios in order to identify sourcing guidelines with optimal cost. Specific responsibilities:

  • Assess current situation and define project roadmap
  • Develop a forecast tool in close coordination with all internal stake-holders
  • Test it and deploy it on some key categories

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Find opportunities to optimize the ordering pattern, elaborate the new process and implement it with internal stakeholders and supplier.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the category strategy
  • Resolve supply issues for purchase orders in cooperation with suppliers and EU SC manufacturing centres’.
  • Assess suppliers’ performance, report on issues and recommend appropriate corrective action plans.
