Junior Business Controller/Analyst (m/f)

Your Role

• Act as a business partner by consulting, supporting and challenging the Swiss Marketing, Supply and Distribution team.
• Understand the macroeconomic factors affecting the Swiss fuels market and the companys strategy to respond to them.
• Report and analyse drivers of business performance in the company's Swiss Marketing, Supply and Distribution network compared to budget and prior periods, provide reliable and regular forecasts.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget through the utilization of available historic data and conversations with the commercial management team about market dynamics and strategies.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of the monthly management information and IFRS data through assuming full ownership over the month-end close activities within your assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, IFRS and Group policies.
• Support other functions in various financial matters, e.g. foreign currency exposure management, new accounting policy implementation, IT process development, etc.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Finance, Business Administration or Economics preferred
• Strong Excel skills desired, modeling skills is a plus
• Full business proficiency in verbal & written English is a must, German is a plus
• Interest in developing knowledge of Oil Commodities market;
• Interest in working in a business facing finance role;
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, fact-based thinking;
• Capacity to learn quickly;
• Capability of independent thought and initiative, self-starter attitude, proactive and customer focused "make it work" mentality;
• Ability to work towards tight deadlines;
• Flexibility on adapting work hours to ongoing tasks;
