The DIA Site IT delivers end-user and application services to the Roche Diagnostics Sites and to the Roche Diagnostics Global Capital Investment and Real Estate organization. We are in the process of developing a Data Landscape which enables all users to easily find, access and store business relevant and valuable data.
We are looking for an Information / Data Architect intern who will drive the development of the Data Landscape and associated Operating and Governance Model.
In this position you will be:
- Working with user groups on identifying relevant data / data elements which are used to support the business processes
- Identifying and documenting the source of data / data elements and its value to the user groups
- Developing a repository (data catalog) for representing the data elements including the entities, relationships and attributes, the information flows, business glossary
- Determining the system of record, system of use of the data elements including ownership and value of its usage
- Defining retention period of the data elements in accordance with the corporate records management policy
- Recognizing and resolving conflicts between data models; ensuring that information and data models are consistent with the enterprise model (e.g., entity names, relationships and definitions)
- Developing an operating and governance model for maintaining the repository (data catalog)
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled as a student for computer science/informatics or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months)
- You are a Digital native with a strong skill set in digital tools, trends and way of working
- You are a self-reliant person with a high motivation to push the Digital Transformation forward
- You have the curiosity to explore new software tools and ability to structure test result outcomes
- You have an agile mind-set & hands-on mentality
- You are open-minded and willing to learn new things
- You have strong communication skills - fluency in English, both written and spoken
