Junior Solution Architect

As part of a team of system specialists, you will look after Lonza’s central IT infrastructure. As an all-rounder, you have good knowledge of Windows and experience in the virtualisation of servers.

Your tasks include the planning, installation and operation of various application infrastructures, including SAP. You enjoy working with internal customers from different locations and can communicate in written and spoken English. Independent and proactive work is required, ideally you have experience in the technical implementation of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability
• Operation of the above environment and ensure high availability
• Accountability for delivery of Project work according to the overall standards and concepts
• Technology scouting and run proof of concepts / Propose new solutions, liaise with vendors and define global IT infrastructure standards in storage, backup and laboratory software
• Resolution of critical incidents and problems
• Ensure Disaster/Recovery and maintain security of systems and unauthorized access to systems
• Ensure that systems are implemented and documented in compliance with Lonza’s standards
• Ensure documentation and compliance of corresponding IT-Infrastructure

Key requirements:

• Degree in computer science FH / business informatics FH.
• You speak fluent German and can communicate well in English
• You are independent, outgoing, customer-oriented and appreciate working as a team player.
• You are well organised and can keep a cool head in stressful situations
