Welcome to the UBS Quant Hackathon 2020!
The UBS Quant Hackathon is an online Quant competition open to university students (including undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students) from around the world*. Combine your innovative ideas with your Quant skills to tackle real-life financial industry challenges.

By registering for and participating in the UBS Quant Hackathon 2020, you accept and agree to abide by the Official Rules and represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements.
How do I participate?
Registration is a 2-step process:
Step 1: All Participants must first register themselves individually via the “Register here” tab.
Step 2: Participants must form teams, with each team comprising 2-5 Participants and register their Team name and Team members.
This year, UBS is partnering with Alphien, a third party service provider, to administer, manage and host the Hackathon, including the registration and Proposal submission processes, via Alphien’s platform.
By clicking on the “Register here” button, you will leave the UBS Quant Hackathon website and will enter into Alphien’s platform. Use of Alphien’s platform and all activities carried out by participants on Alphien’s platform are subject to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy published on the Alphien Platform (collectively, the “Alphien Terms”). First round

27 September | Leaderboards open with ranking and points system* |
11 October | Deadline for online submission |
23 October | Shortlisted teams for the final live Hackathon will be announced |
* Points system is used to select the finalists, points start accumulating on 20 September.

- Outperform the S&P 500 Index
- Machine Learning for Complex Pricing Models

We are targeting 12 Teams to be selected as the shortlist teams for the final round.
Final round
30 October 2020
Online hackathon
Finalists from the first round will be invited to participate in the final hackathon event globally. A dedicated UBS mentor will be assigned to each team.
