Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically working on product development projects, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology.

You’ll get to:

  • assist in designing, developing, and testing software solutions to improve client self-service platforms, following agile methodologies
  • collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand client requirements and contribute to delivering user-friendly solutions
  • support code reviews by providing constructive feedback and learning best practices for clean, maintainable code
  • contribute to the implementation of modern technologies to enhance client self-service processes and improve efficiency
  • help maintain technical documentation and share insights to support the developer community
  • assist in monitoring and troubleshooting solutions, ensuring stability and resolving issues to enhance the client experience

Your team

You will join the crew Client Self Service where we work according to Agile@UBS In this crew you will be working in one of our 12 pods running Scrum focused on building digital self-service solutions for existing and prospective clients. Our pods have a proven track record of being first on the market and having direct client impact by evolving our solutions accessed by thousands of users every day. Furthermore, while you are working on creating the world’s best banking platform you get a chance to broaden your skills by joining various education opportunities tailored to your personal interests, learning sessions on innovative topics, social events and much more.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:

  • has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree), preferably in a MINT topic
  • has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
  • has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
  • is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
  • is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
  • has analytical skills and a data driven mindset
  • has basic programming skills in languages such as Java or Python, and is familiar with agile methodologies.
  • shows curiosity and enthusiasm
  • has a passion for technology and is eager to learn about CLSS and modern software development practices.

Start date: 1 July or by agreement
Length: 6 months

Your program

This paid internship will last 6-months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
