Mechanical Designer – Dry Transformers (part-time 50%, 2-year contract)) (f/m/d)
The opportunity
As a Mechanical Drafter, you will support our Engineering team in enhancing the quality, consistency, and efficiency of technical documentation and product data. In this role, you will contribute to the standardization of materials and engineering processes, maintain and update technical drawings, and provide hands-on support to Design Engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering, data quality, and continuous improvement while contributing to the development of high-quality industrial products.
How you’ll make an impact
- Support the standardization and harmonization of materials and components within the Global Material Repository (GMR) to improve data quality and engineering efficiency
- Update and rebrand technical drawings to ensure alignment with current company standards, templates, and branding requirements
- Assist Mechanical Design Engineers in creating, modifying, and maintaining 2D and 3D drawings and technical documentation
- Review and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), engineering records, and related product data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all engineering documentation complies with internal procedures, quality standards, and document control requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and implement standardization and process improvement opportunities
- Support drawing revisions, data migration activities, and document management processes across engineering projects
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering workflows, helping to increase productivity and consistency across the organization
Your background
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline
- Experience using CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or comparable design tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assemblies, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience working with engineering documentation, drawing control, and revision management processes
- Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs), material master data, and standardization practices
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and engineering databases is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a structured approach to work
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
