Your role
Interested in working in finance and have an affinity for data and numbers, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship within our Group M&A business in Switzerland.
You’ll get to:
- perform valuations and financial modelling of businesses and portfolios
- identify potential M&A targets and contribute to UBS’s inorganic strategic considerations at senior management level with findings and recommendations for decision-making
- assist on the execution of deals, including due diligence, negotiation and preparation of transaction documentation
- analyze key industry trends and produce ad-hoc presentation to update UBS’s top decision making authorities on strategic topics and competitors
Your team
You’ll be working in the Group M&A team. We are responsible for running financial and strategic analyses to support UBS’s strategic global inorganic growth initiatives across all of its business divisions around the globe. Solely based in Zurich, our team is delivering its M&A advisory services to the top senior stakeholders of UBS in a global capacity, covering all jurisdictions in the world.

We’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree, and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree)

- is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
- is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have a strong interest in, and basic theoretical or practical knowledge of the financial services industry. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team. Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or stepped out of your comfort zone to learn about a subject you found challenging? Let us know how your achievements match the skills we’re after.
Your program
This paid internship will last six months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
Start date: February & September 2026
