Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically in contributing to the requirements engineering, designing and developing new solutions at UBS, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group Technology.

You’ll get to:

  • understand the business need and uncover the bigger picture behind a requested change
  • identify and manage stakeholders that are impacted by or can influence our software product
  • elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • collaborate with the software and test engineers to assist in the implementation of user stories

Your team

You will be working in the Online Asset Reporting team located in Zurich. We are a very seasoned, committed, and self-organized team, responsible for building and maintaining the next generation Client Asset Reporting services - some of the most-used services in UBS’ E-Banking and Mobile app. Our reporting capabilities range from simple account information to various other investment products, but also holistic views on client assets, such as asset allocation, performance, etc. Being an important data provider for various frontend teams, we focus on high-quality delivery, close collaboration across teams, and remaining flexible to changing needs and new information.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:

  • has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree), preferably in a MINT topic
  • has at least some knowledge/experience - but surely a great interest - in requirements engineering
  • is proactive, curious, eager to learn, and who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • is taking over responsibility, shows initiative, and contributes to the success of the entire team
  • has a genuine interest in agile software engineering practices and the continuous improvement of it
  • has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
  • is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
  • is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have an interest in the financial industry. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team.

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or stepped out of your comfort zone to learn about a subject you found challenging? Let us know how your achievements match the skills we’re after.

Start date: February 2026

Your program

This paid internship will last 6-months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
