Your team
The Fund Specialists Team is responsible for providing expert advice, support, and guidance on best-in class investment products to clients and internal stakeholders, in particular for fixed income, equities, funds, and alternative investments. In their role as product experts, they generate recommendation lists, market opportunities, switch ideas and cover the after-sales for core holdings. Furthermore, they also drive sales initiatives and promote the respective instruments in the bank. Investment Specialists are front and client facing staff, supporting the delivery of exceptional client experience through product knowledge and expertise.

During your internship, you will work closely with the Fund Specialists across Zurich and gain first-hand exposure to the entire fund shelf. You will be involved in forward looking projects, collaborating with various stakeholders across the value chain and contribute to innovative ways to enhance efficiency.

YOUR CHALLENGE

What to work on:

• Prepare fund analysis on Morningstar for active funds and ETFs
• Create templates for investment proposals in Morningstar
• Preparation of PowerPoint slides for Desk Meetings, including research and CIO views and relevant products with storyline
• Assisting the processing of daily inquiries from RMs with the ambition to handle simpler cases independently
• Being involved in fund promotion activities such as Mini-campaigns, Meet the Manager events, publication of Fund Switch Ideas, etc.

What to learn:

• Build a deeper understanding of traditional investment funds (incl. ETFs) across all asset classes and financial markets in general
• Get to know the open architecture fund offering and its value chain in an international private bank (incl. relevant aspects of the regulatory environment)
• Gain insights into fund/investment campaigns and the collaboration of different teams & stakeholders

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor student from 2nd year onwards or enrolled Master student in the field(s) of Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields
• Initial practical experience in the financial industry, content production, digital media, or project support is a plus
• Strong interest and solid basic knowledge in economics, financial markets, and investment-related topics
• Solid PowerPoint skills
• Proactive, open-minded, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment
• Passion for wealth management and a desire to create value beyond wealth
• A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong appetite for learning
• Fluency in English, with German being a plus
• Registered in the country of application with a valid work permit
