Bachem develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients for customers worldwide. Using quality control as an example, I will demonstrate the role that analytical laboratories play in a GMP environment, how collaboration with production and research works, and what career paths graduates can pursue in this field.

Dr Fabian Braukmann is Group Leader of Quality Control at Bachem. After completing his degree and PhD at the University of Cambridge, his career path took him from research into industry. Today, he leads a team in quality control and supports the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients through analytical monitoring within a GMP environment.
