Make an impact by becoming our Internal Sustainability Trainee
As part of Deloitte Switzerland’s Internal Sustainability team, you will support the implementation of our Net-Zero Transition Plan. You will contribute to our commitment to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, while helping position Deloitte as a leader in sustainability and climate.
How you can make an impact
- Support the local implementation of Deloitte’s Global Net-Zero Transition Plan in Switzerland, contributing to our 2040 net-zero commitment and 90% GHG emissions reduction target. This includes working across key areas such as:
- Operational sustainability (e.g. business travel, mobility, sustainable technology, procurement).
- People engagement (e.g. internal and external campaigns, sustainability community, learning initiatives).
- Coordinate and deliver sustainability-related initiatives and events and inspire colleagues across the firm.
- Support the management of our internal ‘Sustainability Champions’ network to cultivate an active network and expand our reach within the firm.
- Assist with Deloitte’s annual Impact Report by supporting communication with various departments to collect necessary data, helping prepare documentation, proof-reading content and verifying data for the publication.
- Assist in completing sustainability assessments (e.g. EcoVadis) within required deadlines.
- Provide support for client-related requests, including sustainability questionnaires and bid documentation.
- Support the use of AI tools to enhance sustainability initiatives and client questionnaires.
- Create engaging communication materials (e.g. articles, presentations, digital content) to promote sustainability awareness across the firm.
Who we are looking for
- Energetic, driven, passionate about sustainability and a willingness to rapidly develop expertise in this field.
- Previous experience or education in sustainability is a must, additional knowledge in change management or transformation projects is an advantage.
- Adaptable and open-minded, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities i.e. being able to connect the dots and spot future trends and opportunities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills - particularly on PowerPoint, Excel - with the ability to create high-quality and impactful deliverables.
- Ability to work primarily within a fast-paced, small/virtual team environment.
