Your Role

In this temporary role based in Zurich you are part of the EMEA Reserving Center of Excellence. The EMEA Reserving CoE is responsible for reserving General and Commercial Insurance business in Europe.

As a Reserving Actuarial Analyst in the CoE Zurich your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Support the development of actuarial solutions for IFRS 17
  • Coordinate dry-run activities with various business units and ensure communication with all stakeholders
  • Perform dry-run activities, own IFRS17 actuarial figures, reconcile bookings
  • Assess the financial impact of the new accounting standard
  • Develop and maintain documentation and controls
  • Support additional IFRS17 or reserving projects

Your Skills and Experience

As a Reserving Actuarial Analyst in the CoE Zurich your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Master Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with reserving methods and/or accounting will be an advantage.
  • Good programming skills. Experience with SAS and VBA will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and conscious of deadlines.
  • Showing enthusiasm and having positive attitude.
  • Very good English skills. Any additional European language is an advantage.
