Junior Business Solution Analyst

For this Junior position your main responsibilities are:

• Identify, ingest, and enrich a wide range of structured and unstructured data into datasets for analysis
• Learn to apply statistical and advanced techniques (e.g. segmentation, machine learning) to develop both prototypes and scalable (i.e. efficient, automated) data analyses
• Conduct basic ad hoc analysis, building models, forecasting viewing behavior
• Extensive code development, debugging, optimizing, and productionizing
• Be able to transform unstructured raw data in to formats suitable for modeling
• Be able to work in teams and collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements
• work closely with business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making
• merge, manage, interrogate and extract data to supply tailored reports to colleagues, customers or the wider organisation
• maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results
• use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce solutions to problems
• create clear reports that tell compelling stories about how customers or clients work with the business
• horizon scan to stay up to date with latest technology, techniques and methods
• conduct research from which you’ll develop prototypes and proof of concepts
• look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organisation (for example in the HR and marketing departments)
• stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of your work.

You bring the following qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems
• Degree in Computer science/Information systems.
• Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms and techniques .
• Expertise in R, Experience with data querying tools e.g. SQL, Hive.
• Plus: Experience with Tableau, Hadoop
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• integrate data information from multiple sources into clear conclusions and derive results with recommendations.
• Self-starter and Ability to work independently
• Analytical Mindset
