The Roche Pharma Development Clinical Science Fellowship created in partnership with the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Geneva aims to recruit high quality PhD graduates from the University’s Doctoral School in Life Sciences for specialist training in the late stage Neuroscience (PDN) and Immunology, Infectious Diseases, and Ophthalmology (I2O) clinical science development groups.

The program has been designed to diversify and broaden academic training through exposure to clinical trial methodology and cross-functional teams operating globally working with internal experts in the field at Roche.

The fellowship will be 2 years in duration, primarily based at Roche Headquarter Basel, CH, within the clinical science development Groups, which are responsible for the strategy, design and, execution and result interpretation of late phase clinical trials. The supervisor at Roche will be an experienced member of the clinical science development department.

As a Fellow at Roche you may:

  • Be involved in the design, execution, medical review, analysis and interpretation of data from clinical studies for molecules in development as well as marketed compounds.
  • Participate in key clinical strategy, implementation and molecule management meetings in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities and challenges of medicines development.
  • Generate and present abstracts and oral presentations for key external conferences and other specialty meetings as well as publication opportunities.
  • Be involved in discussions and activities around Clinical Science Innovation.

For whom is the Roche PD Clinical Science Fellowship suitable for?

  • Highly motivated PhD graduates of the Doctoral School in Life Sciences.
  • A strong team player with an agile mind-set and looking to diversify their career skills.
  • Interested in further understanding and influencing the development and approval of medicines for patients.
  • Good understanding (at least strong interest or) of Neuroscience (PDN) and Immunology, Infectious Diseases, and Ophthalmology (I2O) diseases advantageous.
  • Excellent English skills, written and spoken Some previous clinical research experience is preferred.
