The main role of Category Management within the Business Development team of the Consumer Products division is to support the beauty market and the division in its growth. This is done through strategic collaboration with retailers and a better understanding of the needs and behavior of the buying public.

In our e-commerce business, the main mission is to strategically establish the growth strategy for all different online customers: from sell-out and consumer data analysis to the concrete set-up and execution of marketing activities, in this very broad scope, operational tasks meet long term recommendations.


In this internship, you will have the opportunity to work with the Business Analysis team, which supports L’Oréal’s growth by evaluating the sales information of our products and providing advice and support to our Sales Managers to make the best use of resources. They combine financial and commercial skills to ensure an optimal business strategy for L’Oréal in Switzerland.

In the e-commerce part you will be directly exposed to interaction with our main clients and work hand in hand with the Sales Managers of each client and our e-commerce Acceleration Manager.

You will learn the basis of a key account management, from client management to financial aspects, as well as win-win approaches to further expand our online business.


  • Support the business development team by analyzing market data (selection, simplification, structuring)
  • Conducting consumer/shopper studies
  • Ensure “POS excellence” projects, from planogram revisions to complete point-of-sale review projects
  • Analyze sell out performance information to build recommendation to help the category growth

E-commerce related:

  • Monthly monitoring and analysis of sell-out figures
  • Marketing activation and support plans for all customers
  • Support in the key account management of a direct customer
  • Management and updating of e-commerce tracking tools (EDGE, Salsify)


  • You just obtained your university degree, or you are currently studying with a specialization in the relevant field.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a flair for numbers.
  • You work meticulously and are organized.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are motivated to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are interested in creating beauty concepts for in-store projects or already have experience with merchandising projects
  • You have a good knowledge of the IT environment of SAP and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Your mother tongue is either French or German/Swiss-German with a good level of the other language, and you are fluent in English.
