The Position

We are R&D Point of Care System Development & Integration - the architects of ready to use IVD systems for near-patient testing. Using our blood gas analysis technology, healthcare professionals are able to make decisions for patients in critical situations - in the emergency room, in the intensive care unit and in the operating room.
The opportunity
Help create the future of blood gas analysis! You will be part of our workflow development and system integration team and contribute to the design and improvement of the new instrument prototypes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize fluid control workflows of our new analyzer
- Investigate technical issues around the control of blood and calibration fluids and propose design improvements
- Create software/hardware tools for measuring and analyzing how well the new system performs
- Plan and execute experiments and tests of instruments, software, consumables and the interactions between them
- Get the prototype analyzers working in our blood labs
Who You Are
You have completed or are currently enrolled in an MSc degree in the field of Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanics, Fluidics, etc.) and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship. Furthermore you are:
- Experienced in Python programming and analysis of complex data (required). Experience with C++ or C# is an advantage.
- Trained in basic electrical and mechanical engineering / mechatronics
- Great at creating structured documentation and written investigation reports
- Persistent in finding root causes of technical issues and driven to fix them together with the team of engineers and scientists
- Self-reliant and a great networker in order to gain support for your own work
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)

- Start Date: July 2026
- Workload: 100%
- Duration: Minimum 6 months (with a potential for extension to 12 months)
- It is not possible to write a thesis during the internship.
