Senior Accounting Analyst 80-100%

Description

You will be part of the CC Financial Accounting team and ensure that accounting processes and procedures are followed and completed to support and reinforce key business objectives.

Your Role

As a Senior Accounting Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:

• Supervise and perform (when necessary) various types of general and/or sub-ledger transactions as per IFRS and Swiss GAAP, with a particular focus on treasury related transactions (equity and debt securities, capital transactions, external debt, currency balance sheet)
• Prepare or review ledger reports and explain the results (with collaboration of the Analytics team).
• Perform or review close related ledger tasks, e.g. accruals, provisions, journals postings
• Prepare or review accounts reconciliations and SOX controls on timely basis in accordance with Group SOX
• Participate in local projects or initiatives, evaluate potential impact on local reporting units, performs local implementation of changes
• Assist in continuous improvement projects
• Ongoing contact with various stakeholders

Your Skills and Experience

As a Senior Accounting Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• At least Bachelor degree in Finance (or equivalent) and 4 or more years of experience in related field as an Accountant
• IFRS experience with special focus on financial instruments and/or hedge accounting experience is mandatory
• Big 4 experience in a financial services audit is considered an asset
• Good communication skills, fluent in English, German would be an asset
• High degree of flexibility and ability to work within tight deadlines
• Intermediate level of problem solving skills
• SAP-FI knowledge

Additional Information

Primary work location is Zurich. The travel requirement is up to 10%.
