As R&D intern, you will join our Technology Center in Zürich-Altstetten, an organization leading continuous research and development activities on transformer components and services. As part of our global R&D community including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide, you will contribute to the development of new technologies for electrical insulation and optimization of materials and manufacturing processes in various factories belonging to the Transformers Business Line. As a member of the highly skilled global Technology Center term, you will run projects and contribute to the global roadmap execution. The duration of the internship is 6 to 12 months.
Your responsibilities
- Perform lab characterization tasks and testing of polymeric materials
- Support adaptation of lab results for manufacturing of full-scale products
- Contribute to optimization of manufacturing processes and quality control processes
Your background
- Master student in the field of natural sciences, material engineering, process engineering or similar
- Good understanding of material characterization methods and tools (DSC, TGA, DMA, etc.)
- Responsible team player with structured and result-oriented work approach
- Fluent English, written and spoken, German is an advantage
